What is Facebook Creator?

What's the difference between a profile and a Facebook Page?

There are two types of accounts on Facebook: profiles and Pages. As a creator, you can choose a profile or a Page - that works best for you.

• Profiles connect you with people in your life: friends, family, friends of friends, etc. Your profile helps you express who you are as a person and learn about others. It allows you to choose what to share publicly and what to share with only a limited number of people. That’s why your Facebook profile must use your real name – it’s one of the ways FACEBOOK keep them community safe.
• Pages on the other hand, are for the “public” you. You don't have to use your real name on your Page. Instead, it can be your brand name or however your fans know you. A Facebook Page also gives you access to video insights, Page Insights and makes you more discoverable. It is also a prerequisite for accessing Branded Content, Rights Manager and Ad Breaks (beta- recently).
